Family & Community Medicine
Choctaw Global Staffing is seeking a full time Family Practice Physician to provide services to eligible members of the military healthcare system in Family & Community Medicine at Ft Sam Houston, TX.
â€¢Shall possess and maintain a valid unrestricted current license from any United States jurisdiction
â€¢Possess and maintain current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration Certificate to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with the law of the state where services are provided. The licenses and certificates must be renewed and maintained in a current status during the life of the contract.
â€¢Possess and maintain a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification during the contract period of performance through The America Heart Association.
â€¢Shall have no record of disciplinary action that would currently exclude, suspend, or terminate him/her as an authorized Uniform Health Services or TRICARE provider.
â€¢Must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy who has successfully completed an approved residency training program in a primary care specialty or is board eligible or certified in a primary care specialty such as Family Practice or Internal Medicine. The HCP must also have a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years of routinely practicing as a primary care physician.
â€¢The contract physician shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all personnel eligible for medical care.
â€¢The contract physician shall be required to meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements. The government will not reimburse for these costs.
