Academic IM outpatient &/or hospitalist practice
Academic hospitalist practice and Academic outpatient IM practice –now hiring
Texas A&M College of Medicine is excited to extend an offer to general internists interested in an outpatient IM practice or a hospital based practice (hospitalist position) that involves an active faculty role in the education of Texas A&M College of Medicine medical students.
The salary is competitive with other hospitalist positions and the benefit package is very generous. The “26 week year†would be split between hospital service with A&M students doing their IM clerkship, substitute hospital attending on Texas A&M FM residency adult medicine hospital service and educational service. The educational service will be a mix of formal class room didactics, committee work, leadership and small group teaching sessions. The total time commitment would not exceed 26 wks. The diversity of practice should allow for an ideal professional practice in one of the best communities in Texas
The Academic outpatient IM practice is being developed in parallel with the hospitalist practice. This practice will serve as the educational platform for 3rd year IM clerkship students. As above, compensation will be commensurate with the role, there is a generous benefit package and this is a wonderful opportunity to practice and teach in an outstanding community.
Please send your CV to Helgoth@medicine.tamhsc.edu or contact Jan Helgoth at 979-436-0514 with questions or inquiries regarding the positions. We look forward to speaking with you about this exciting blend of clinical practice and medical education.
